Building an ice arena is one thing. Ensuring it performs without compromise five years later – that is the true test of quality. In Samarkand, we just passed that test. And the results speak for themselves.
The Project That Started in 2021
In 2021, we completed an ice arena in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, as part of the large Family Park shopping and entertainment centre. It was a comprehensive installation covering all ice surface technology, refrigeration, ventilation, lighting, dasherboards, seating and player facilities.
From day one, the arena has served two purposes – as a public skating rink and as a hockey arena for competitive matches. International games have been played here over the years. And crucially: it is the only ice arena in all of Samarkand – the second largest city in Uzbekistan.
May 2026: The Client Called – We Came
In May 2026, five years after the original installation, our client invited us back. The brief was a complete professional inspection and servicing of all technological equipment ahead of the new season.
Our team carried out thorough testing and servicing of all key systems:
- Refrigeration technology and compressors
- Refrigerant distribution and treatment system
- Ventilation and air conditioning
- Lighting and electrical systems
- Dasherboards and safety elements
- Water treatment system for the ice surface
After completing the service work, the arena was successfully commissioned. Full ice surface, full quality – exactly as it should be.
The Result: A Satisfied Client and an Annual Service Contract
The client was very satisfied with the results of our work. So much so that we immediately proceeded to prepare an annual service and maintenance agreement for the arena.
For us, this is more than just another contract. It is confirmation that quality installation and long-term care for the client pays off. Five years after completing the project, we are back – and the client invited us themselves.
